Kentucky Calm is a formula developed by Horse1 in direct collaboration with Kentucky Equine Research (KER) (www.ker.com), an international reference center in applied equine nutrition.
Horse1 has been a technical partner of KER in Europe since 2003, ensuring that the formulations of the Kentucky range are permanently optimized under updated scientific criteria for the sport horse.
It is indicated for:
Nutritional approach
Kentucky Calm does not aim to “remove energy”, but rather to modify the source and pattern of energy release.
The formula combines:
This allows the supply of usable energy without pronounced glycemic peaks that may increase reactivity.
Support for behavior and metabolic stability
The formulation includes reinforced levels of magnesium and tryptophan, nutrients involved in neuromuscular regulation and behavioral balance in sensitive horses.
Digestive health and gastric protection
Kentucky Calm incorporates alfalfa chaff with a naturally more alkaline pH, which:
The multi-particle format lengthens ingestion time and improves the feeling of satiety, a relevant aspect in stabled horses.
Protein quality and muscle maintenance
It provides sufficient essential amino acids to:
It is not a hyper-protein formula, but one adjusted for horses in light to moderate work.
KER Premix
As in the entire Kentucky range, the specific Kentucky Equine Research premix for sport horses is used, guaranteeing:
Kentucky Calm constitutes an optimized nutritional base for sensitive horses that require controlled energy, digestive stability and muscle maintenance without unnecessary increases in excitability. 20 kg bag
